Panned by critics must mean the movie should be a must watch… which makes it for a January sure shot.

Before you catch this movie it is highly recommended that you read the novel – A horrifying and gripping tale of an orphan whose pursuit to create the most unique perfume in the world, to cover up his lack of any body odour, leads to an amazing and shattering climax. A thoroughly enjoyable and gruesome novel. Pure pleasure.

Perfume was decently well made in general, the character building and story moves along at a good pace. This movie says a lot about human nature.
